I would like to send a VERY big thank you for the 'Antique Indian Large in Saffron' lampshade. We received it last Friday and it is beautiful!

The lampshade will be used on a floor lamp that my father made many years ago, so there is a lot of sentimental value to the lamp. We realise now that we need to get the lamp re-wired, but once that is complete, the lamp will be a feature in our loungeroom.

I felt compelled to write to you and pass on my deepest appreciation for the beautiful Navy Banksia drum shade that arrived a couple of weeks ago.I am a mother to two gorgeous young boys, my husband, and my dad all reside in this house and needless to say, there’s lots of testosterone and practicality but not a lot of ‘pretty’ and feminine energy.I have spent the last 3 years staring at the old standing lamp that casts a soft light across the toy room, hating its dusty old plain white shade. I have spent probably double that time, trying to find a replacement shade that was unique, fun and feminine but also masculine at the same time. I felt I was asking too much but was annoyed that I should have to compromise, which, as a mother, usually means compromising on my own wants/needs.I subscribed to Pandaemonium and it was in the last issue that I noticed your business. Within 5 minutes of looking up your website, I was hitting purchase on this gorgeous shade, I was sold at first sight.I installed it on the lamp base as soon as it arrived (it felt like my birthday, getting to unwrap it, although it was wrapped much better than anything the men could manage!), not expecting anyone to notice (I could come home dressed as a dragon with knickers on my head and no one would notice!) however as soon as my boys descended on the toy room, they both noticed the new shade and were delighted.My youngest (6yo) thought it was fun (and his favourite colour, blue) and my big boy (10yo) loved it for the kookaburra, his favourite animal. It absolutely satisfied my need for something feminine and pretty (and apt for my new qualification in landscape design) whilst paying homage to my two most important humans in their space.Two weeks on, I still admire it every time I walk into the toy room. It’s a beautiful distraction to the ‘toy apocalypse’ that lies on the floor!
